[9.5.444 Pro] - No longer matching names containing chars |
|
It seems that SA falls back from Name Matching Method>Name Contains Characters from Key String, Order by Best Match to Name Starts with Key String when filtering objects from a package in a popup in Oracle. Or something weirder happens since the matching text is not even highlighted anymore. Check this short video here.

This issue might be specific to the Oracle and DB2 interfaces, namely to packages types and their 4-level organization schema.package.procedure.parameters vs. 3-level organization of regular procedures like schema.procedure.parameters. The name matching methods highlighting applies to first 2 levels only I think.
I posted that question on the internal board and waiting for the confirmation.

Thank you very much for clarifying this one. I thought it had something to do with the DB Queries. Does that mean that the name matching method (not the highlighting but the method) is also applied to the first 2 levels only?

I just got a confirmation that 4-level name matching for Oracle and DB2 packages and types isn't currently supported. I asked if that can be implemented in the future.

That would be great, yes.
By the way, thank you very much for the Christmas present :) Happy Holidays to you as well.
