Having runtime issues on newer version 5.3 |
|
We recently installed 24x7 Scheduler v 5.3 on Win 7 environment and previously it was on XP with older version v2. When we run a particular job on Win7, it took almost 6 to 7 hours to complete whereas in XP, it took only 3 hours. We want the job to run either in 3 hours or less.

We have a Microsoft Access database job which generates all the reports for the day.
Old Environment (Win XP): When the job is triggered from Master, the agent takes utmost 3 hours to load all the data as this contains more tables.
New Environment (Win 7): Same job was triggered here and it took almost 6 to 7 hours to load the data.

Is your Access database located on a network drive? Are you using the same version of Access?

The Access database is located on a network drive. XP has Access 2003 and Win 7 has Access 2010.

You may want to check for network latency. It's a good idea to try bringing the database file to the local machine. All I/O operations should run much faster.

Can you identify a particular operation or function within your Access database that is taking longer on the new system?
Does the new system have comparable configuration? Same amount or more RAM? Same number of CPU cores? Etc...
