FR: Data Transfer - Ignore timestamp fields |
|
When transferring data from one DB to another, the timestamp fields throw errors because data cannot be inserted. I am going into each table in the transfer wizard and removing the timestamp fields from the transfer objects.
Is there a way to just have the data transfer ignore those entirely since it's a hard stop error?

Importunately there is no such feature right now. You need to un-map such columns manually in the project settings for each column with timestamp or other auto-generated values that cannot be set explicitly.

Enhancement #SA0030294 has been submitted for intelligent handling of destination columns with server auto-generated values and for identity columns.
