I think that SA Options windows should not be closed when Escape is pressed. Definitely not when there are non-applied changes in it.

IMHO, Escape key is a standard closing key for the dialogs. What i think is wrong here is missing prompt to apply changes, discard them or stop closing, which is also a standard behavior. Would you agree with that?

Certainly. Though I never thought about SA Options as an ordinary dialog. I have that windows open most of the times, and apply the changes with the Apply button instead of closing it with Ok. Closing it would slow down snippet development to a crawl, for example.

You're right, closing the window with Escape when there're no unapplied changes makes no harm (other than the delay to reopen it). However, closing it and dropping changes without even asking if it made us sad is not a good thing to do.
