I guess it might be because Alt+numbers are triggers for snippets. If not, could that restriction be lifted? My keyboard lacks numeric keypad, therefore I'm unable to use bookmarks :) Thu Nov 13, 2014 6:16 pm SysOp Site Admin Joined: 26 Nov 2006 Posts: 7948 As far as I remember, bookmarks are associated with numeric keys to make the navigation easier, if you want to go to bookmark #5, you can use Alt+5 on numeric keypad. The regular numeric keys are already reserved in many editors for other functions and that's why it was decided it's better not to touch chem.
