Escape character |
|
Back in v3, there was an option to set my own escape character when used in scripts and we would set it to the pipe (|) character. Now, there doesn't seem to be that option. What's the escape character for v5 in JAL scripts? Is it @? Thanks.

The default escape symbol in JAL is backslash as in most other scripting languages.
You can still change it in v5, by setting HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SoftTree Technologies, Inc.\24x7 Scheduler\5.0\SpecialASCIIChar registry value or by disabling is incompletely using HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SoftTree Technologies, Inc.\24x7 Scheduler\5.0\SpecialASCIIEnabled

Thanks, that did the trick. We chose to add in the pipe character to the registry because there are too many jobs to change to use the default backslash.
