Installing Remote Agent as service |
|
I am trying to install the remote agent as a service on a windows server running v5.2.4.17. I ran the script "24x7srv.exe /install /agent" but it doesn't seem like the service installed. I ran the command in a dos window and all it gave me was the message below:
-------------------------
24x7 Scheduler
Service control manager
-------------------------
Please advise. Thanks.

It looks like you already have 24x7 service installed. If you have it installed by the installation program, please uninstall the service (24x7srv.exe /remove), restart computer, and then repeat what you've done before to install the agent service. Hope this will do the trick.

Just tried it and it's not detecting the service being installed. Here's a screenshot:

I checked the documentation. the correct syntax to install agent as a service is
24x7srv.exe /install <account> <password> [/agent]
the values in bold are required, the values in blue are optional. when you install the service for the agent, please be sure to specify user account and password for the service.
