With version 6.3.171 the same problem as was described in http://www.softtreetech.com/support/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=22928&highlight=cyrillic Notepad++ version is 6.3.1 With best regards. I think it is caused by recent changes in Scintilla editor project, Notepad++ project is based on Scintilla. I have logged the issue to our bug tracking system and asked developers to take a look. For references, issue #SA0021477. Implemented in internal build 6.3.192, which is not publicly available. Please wait for a little more.
