 No Email Program Associated Error |

I am receiving an error when executing the MailSend command. A sample of the command is 'MailSend( "Sender@domain.com","", "To@domain.com" "Subject","Body")'. I am on v5 MP. The message is:
"There is No Email Program Associated to perform the requested action..."
Is it a requriement to have an email client installed on the machine instead of configuring the SMTP server information? I receive email triggered through the job properties but not through JAL.

An email client is not required if you choose SMTP email interface. It sounds like JAL script you are running is trying to use MAPI interface instead.
Please check system registry, the EmailInterface value in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\SoftTree Technologies, Inc\24x7 Scheduler\5.0 key.
The value should say SMTP.
SMTP port, and server should be also set in the same registry key.
