New install of v.5, cannot run JAL Script Library Editor |
				     |

Attempting to run JAL Script Editor causes this megbox to popup:

Cannot run program "E:\24x7\JAL\jal.exe" (in directory E:\24x7\JAL"): CreateProcess error=740, The requested operation requires elevation

I've tried running as Admin... What is it looking for?

Thanks

Greg

Yes, E: is a local drive. This is our new production server and its setup just like the test server.

Also, I found late yesterday that changes to JCL scripts are disappearing, just like they did when we started with our new test server. I matched up the NTFS permissions on this server with the permissions on the test server, but changes on the prod server still disappear. I added myself to the E:\JAL directory with full rights already.

thank you

Did you mean E:\24x7 or E:\24x7\JAL folder? You need to do it for E:\24x7 with recursive option. More than 1 folder is involved.

Everyone involved in supporting this application was explicitly added to the E:\24x7 folder. Sorry for the confusion. This is really killing the project, as we can't move forward to getting the production server ready to use.

Thanks

Greg

Is there any way we can setup a conference call and talk through these issues so they can be resolved quickly?

				Update:

We have found other issues... 24x7 logging isn't working correctly. The log shows the service starting and terminating in 4 seconds, and cycling through this every few minutes.

The Event Logs don't show any unusual issues.

If we try to run master.bat as "Run as" administrator, it blows up.

We're going to uninstall and reinstall and see if that helps. Any suggestions would be welcome
