pgAdmin - block native assistant popup |
|
Natively, pgAdmin provide simplified (comparing to SA) query assistant. It appears automatically and/or may be invoked by using CTRL+SPACE.
Unfortunately it's not possible to disable it. There is no such option. Also authors have refused to add such option.
It's obvious, that 2 pop-ups at a time might be disturbing. Even if SA popup is rendered over pgAdmin's one, pgAdmin's popup is the one which react on keys (cursors) in that situation.
Is it possible to disable pgAdmin's pop-up in some way by SA?

We are still evaluating new pgAdmin beta. Please give us a little while.
in a mean time could you check the feasibility of using SQL Editor development environment installed with SQL Assistant as a replacement for pg Admin or complementing pgAdmin?

The issue appears not only in recent pgAdmin but also in old ones.
BTW Editor, I was really glad to see it, but then I noticed old bug known from data grids. It has been reported year or so ago by my colleague. Values of some datatypes are trashed on the view. For example time. I'm going to report it again in a while
