Setting up Oracle DB connections in Database Profiles |
|
I'm having trouble duplicating an Oracle database connection in a new 24x7 setup. I retrieved all of the db connect info from the registry of the old server.
But when setting up the new server's database profiles, it won't work on the new server. Not quite sure how to describe the issue I'm having... I took the appropriate entries out of the TNSNAMES.ORA file from the old machine and added it to the file on the new server.
Do I need ODBC drivers or settings for Oracle connections? I don't see any for this connection on the old server...
Is there something else I need to do?
Thanks
Greg
Never mind, I found the issue. Entry in TNSNAMES was incorrect IP address.
