Global email recipient |
|
Hi,
I need to schedule 100 or so jobs, all of which need to report on error to the same email address. I could set this up against every job, but this carries the risk that if the destination address changes, I will have to go through and amend every job definition.
So, is there any way to set up a global/default email recipient for error emails, and link this to the individual jobs?
Thanks,
Richard

Don't use specific user email. Instead use an email distribution or forwarding group. Later if you need to update the actual recipiens, you can do it on the email server side without touching jobs.

Ok, thanks - I had thought of that, but was hoping for a slightly more elegant way to acheive it within the application itself. Never mind!
Thanks,
Richard
