 error notification |
 |
I have jobs set to notify our on call pager when an error occurs which works very well. I had an error last night that did not got to the pager.
25-Sep-2012 10:38:16 PM 3 5ou5AYjUgNmragQXMn/7WhhcR5A= 176 Tol_2 Webview Load Fail to execute remote job. Agent "Tol2" not found. Distributed communication error.
No other jobs experienced communications errors on this server and the systems pager did not have any notifications of errors that the server was having issues.
This job happens to be triggered by a semaphore file.
Is there any way that our on call pager can be notified when this condition occurs?

Please verify this particular job has been configured to send email notifications and it is not set to ignore errors.

Does the job log indicate the scheduler tried to execute "on error" notification action for that job? Or it just ignored it?
Can you also check debug.log for the same time if it indicates any attempts to send an email?
