Moving to 64bit 2008 Server R2 |
|
We are moving from a 32-bit (Windows 2003 Server) to 64-bit (Windows Server 2008 R2) environment. We currently run the Windows version of the automation suite (version 3.4.33). I can install this version successfully on Server 2008, however will it work with the 64-bit Oracle client to run Oracle jobs?
If not, what is our best option to resolve this issue. Our DBA's really don't want to install the 32-bit Oracle client on the 64-bit server. I read where the MP version of your software is 64-bit. Do I have to move to that?
Thanks

The Automation Suite will work with 64-bit Oracle if you use the 32-bit Oracle client. If you really don't want to install the 32-bit client, then yes, the Multi-Platform version (running with 64-bit JVM) is your alternative.
