Default behaviour - Sql Assistant Suspend |
|
We have thousands of components. It takes minutes to get Sql Assistant to release control to me before I can move forward. Invariably if I forget to suspend sql assistant I just break the connect and start over, but first suspending Sql Assistant.
Is there a setting one can turn off Sql Assistant and turn it on when needed?

You can use "Suspend All" (right click on the task bar icon.)
However, I'm unclear what you mean by "thousands of components" ... database objects? I'm not sure SA would be the ultimate cause here, but if you want to make SA work faster, you can open the Options dialog, "DB Queries", and filter out all the "components" you don't need.
