Facing issue while enabling System Audit with AuditDB 4.0.19 |
|
Hi,
We are currently using Audit DB 4.0.19 in our production environment with Microsoft Windows 2000 and SQL Server 2000.
Windows 2000 Server are not out of support so we are upgrading our production environment to Windows 2003. I am trying to redeploy DB Audit tool
to our new environment. I have copied the database to the new sql instance. The installation went fine, while enabling the Audit Service i got the following error. The SQL is under cluster environment. I have also tried to copy xp_dbaudit.dll to the bin directory but it keep giving this error. Please help we are very near to production rollout.

Copying the database is not enough, you also need to copy db_audit login, and in case you use system auditing, also copy xp_dbaudit.dll. It is important that the default database for db_audit login is set to point to the audit database and the login be correctly mapped to db_audit user in that database.
Hope this helps
