Remote Control Issues |
|
Setting up 24x7 Scheduler for the first time on a new server. Version is 3.10 and I am hiving problem getting the remote control to work.
I have the software running as a service with an account that is a local admin on the box. Seems to be ok there. I also went into the options and turned on the server mode on the network tab.
When I try to connect with remote control, even from the server itself, I get a login box but after trying various IDs I don't knwo which one it wants. I get an error that says "Requested server not active"
I assume this is why I cannot use the Remote Control feature.
Any help?

Figured it out. Someone installed the remote with the same serial as the master.
All set.

Well, I can connect to the remote system now but having a different issue.
I try to create a folder or delete a folder and get Access Denied messages even though I am connected with a user specified in the job database security.
Ideas?

OK, I reinstalled the server and now have a new twist on it.
I can log in to the server from my PC with the Remote Control as the Administrator account. I can create a folder, and I can Save Remote. All works.
When I try to Delete a folder I get an error that says "User is not authorized to use this function. Acccess Denied"
What gives?

Are there any jobs in the folder? Any password protected jobs?

No but I think I found it.
That was the default jobs database. Once I created a new jobs database everything works fine.
