run ad hoc task |

I am new to using 24x7 so forgive me for my ignorance, but how do I run an ad hoc task? The "Run Now" option is gray'd out.

Hi,
Which version are you running? Windows or Multi-platform?
Are you getting any popup message boxes when starting up 24x7, saying something about the job engine being disabled or running in console mode? If yes, what does the message say?

'Run Now' is for running an already defined job 'now': you select the job first, then click 'Run Now' to run it immediately instead of waiting for the next scheduled execution.
There's not really a way to run an adhoc job. I either kick them off from the Windows Start Menu 'Run' option; or a temporary job in 24x7 which I modify each time.
