Aloha. We are evaluating DB Audit 4.2 on RHEL 5.5 Server running MySQL 5.0.77.
It appears the db_audit_mysql.so and db_audit_sendmail.so libs require a libstdc++ compatible with GLIBCXX_3.4.9.
Unfortunately, libstdc++ on RHEL 5.5 currently supports up to GLIBXX_3.4.8.

I tried getting the db_audit_*.so libraries to work by extracting a newer libstdc++ (from fedora core 10) to /usr/lib, but then I see the following error when mysql starts up:
access denied for user 'db_audit'@'localhost' (using password: YES).

This may have something to do with compatibility b/t libmysqlclient.so (which is required by db_auth_mysql.so) and the newer libstdc++. Since libmysqlclient.so was not on my system, I symlinked to /usr/lib/libmysqlclient_r.so.15.0.0

Has anyone been able to run this software on RHEL 5.5? If so, did it require compiling a newer libstdc++? Can you provide the steps taken to get the software running?
