Post Enhancement Suggestion: Bookmark range selection Reply with quote
Be able to right click on a bookmark and have an option to select all text between the selected Bookmark N and Bookmark N + N or N - N. Use case: you have a really long query with other queries in the document. You set bookmark 1 for the top and bookmark 2 for the bottom. This feature would make it easy to select the query to execute.

I'd suggest not to confuse that with bookmarks, which serve a difference purpose, and rather implement something like "Execute current query," which a common function in many SQL code editors (for example DB Tools, Toad, PL/SQL Developer, etc...) Of course, in the described scenario, the cursor could be anywhere within the query text and the query text doesn't need to be highlighted. What do you think?

That sounds like a great feature. A keyboard shortcut would be important for this.

One enhancement to that: For Inserts that use selects, the option to run just the select portion of the query.

Insert dbo.Table1(Field1)
Select Field1
From dbo.Table2

If you are on the Select portion, you have the option to run the select portion only or the entire insert.

For UNION queries, just the current select or the entire set.
