Post Web Console ONLINE Demo Reply with quote
Hi,
we bought a single server license.

We are interested to the web console (we would get it in next month when will have some running project to show to the management).

I would know if it could be possible to access an online demo to have a look at the interface.

Now we will mantain open the java gui but later we would change to the service mode with a web console connection.

Did I understood right that the web interface is designed to change the running installed scheduler service without the need of restarting the service / deamon?

Thanks

The functionality and interface are similar to that of the GUI version. You can find screenshots here

Hi,
I saw that and it is interesting but a live demo online could be better to understand the tool.

Also could you tell me if that what I wrote in the previous post is correct?

Post Web Console Trial Reply with quote
Hi,
I was looking for posts on web console and this message from SysOp.

**************************************************

The web console is not part of the trial download. It is included with a site license and also can be licensed separately. The web console provides the same functions that you can find in the GUI, but web based and users only need IE web browser to work with 24x7 remotely (or when 24x7 is run as a service).

If you feel like the documentation for the console is not enough and you need to try it locally, please send an email to 'sales at softtreetech.com' and request a copy of the console for trial purposes. Please indicate which version you want to try, there are two of them, classic ASP based version and JSP based version. The first needs IIS web server, the other needs Apache Tomcat or any other web server able to run JSP pages or you can get Apache JSP plug-in for IIS to run it with IIS. The JSP version is more advanced and the web server hosting it can also be run on non-Windows systems.

**************************************************

I would know if this is still possible.

If not, if it possible to try it online, and I would knows about this question:

Yes, you are correct. The web-based console implements multi-user client interface for the scheduling service. It is much like database client-server programs. You can use it connect to the scheduler, make your changes or check something, monitor jobs, etc… and when done, you just close the browser or use the logout link. The distinction is that no additional software needs to be installed or downloaded to the client, just a web browser.
