Changes to Job Database requires deamon restart on linux? |
|
Hi,
I am testing the linux version of the scheduler (I am testing the service mode).
It seems to me that every change requires a deamon cycle. Is that always needed?
Thanks

If you use local command line console or use web console to make changes, then you don't need to restart anything. If you use the GUI, then yes, you are making changes in files which the daemon doesn't know about. By the way, you shouldn't be doing that while the daemon is running, you should be using one of the mentioned consoles. Using web console is a recommended method in this case.
