 cant remote to 24x7 |
 |
I have installed 24x7 and running as Windows NT service, it runs fine. but i cant seem to remote into it from another machine. When i issued this command telnet <server> 1096, i got an error message, saying it could not open connection to the host on port 1096

Have you configured it to listen for network connections? (e.g. enabled Server mode?)

well i know it listens on port 1540, but doesnt it appear to listen on 1096. How do i configure it to listen on that port?

Would you please read the provided documentation? Look for "About 24x7 Remote Control" topic and for middle section in "About Fail-over Mode" This should help with the configuration.

okay i read it, but it doesnt say anything about configuring to listen on port 1096
|

okay i figured it out i didn't have the "Distributed Server Mode Enabled" checked. thanks for you help
