The problem for you and me is, that I can not reproduce it, but it happens sometimes: After editing in a passthrough-view (Oracle 9.2) it sometimes happens during editing that the cursor starts to blink rapidly and Access does not react anymore to anything. After killing SQL-Assistant 4.1.8 by taskmanager all is ok again: you can work from that point on as if nothing happend... I know that this information is very "flat", but perhaps you have an idea where to look in your code.
