Database connection problem

Hi,

I was trying to add a new database server profile to repository (from DB audit console), and encountered the below problem:

"Alert Center Error: Unable to add audit log archiving job... the database connection is not configure yet...."
Can you help, or provide me a documentation on such setup.

Hi,

You should be getting some other error or warning message before this error. What is that? Please describe step-by-step what you are doing and what you are getting, so that I can pinpoint where things are going wrong.

Hi,

After gettting help from your support Dmitriy Evinshteyn, I am able to setup the repository. However the periodic "Audit Log Archiving Job" that run on the 24x7 Scheduler failed with the below error (ERROR: Unable to connect to Alert Center. null).

Please help.

Is the "localhost" setup correctly on your server? The "Audit Log Archiving Job" is trying to connect to the Alert Center server on localhost, port 1097 and failing. There could be 4 possible reasons for this error:

1. The "localhost" cannot be resolved properly and that should be fixed on the system level. You can verify that by pinging it from the command line "ping localhost"

2. Alert Center is not listening for connections. This would be very unusual but can happen if the default settings have been somehow modified

3. Wrong Java version is used for running the Alert Center and/or visible to the job. The Job is started using "java" command in the command line without specific path. Java versions are incompatible and in case wrong version is used various anomalies can occur.

4. And finally user authentication fails. You can check this in the schedule.log file. Look for "User authentication failed" or similar messages.

I think it may be the user authorization problem. I took your advice and check the scheduler.log file, and found the below:
