Alert Center |
|
Hi,
I am evaluating the DB audit with alert center and trying to setup a repository. I installed the alert center on the AIX server and managed to run jscheduler without any problem. However, when I tried to connect to alert center from DB audit console (running on my window xp laptop), it gave me the authorization error, as in the below scheduler.log file:
10/03/2008 02:20:53 PM 2 null null 24x7 Scheduler 24x7 Scheduler starting...
10/03/2008 02:21:11 PM 2 null null 24x7 Scheduler User DB Audit connected from 167.170.120.20
10/03/2008 02:21:12 PM 3 null null 24x7 Scheduler Authorization for user DB Audit has failed
10/03/2008 02:29:46 PM 2 null null 24x7 Scheduler User DB Audit connected from 167.170.120.20
10/03/2008 02:29:47 PM 3 null null 24x7 Scheduler Authorization for user DB Audit has failed
Can you please help me on this.
Thanks,
Phee

You have likely installed the version that came with the generic Windows installation package. For your AIX system you need a different version. The difference is just in one file which you can grab here http://www.softtreetech.com/dbaudit/builds/unix/jscheduler.jar save to the AIX system replacing the instilled file.
Hope this helps.

One note, Internet Explorer tends to save JAR files with ZIP extension. I don't know why it is doing that, but you don't want to rename the file. Make sure to choose the correct file name when downloading it. The file extension must be JAR and the entire file name must be in lower case.

Where do you get "corrupted file error?" Did you attempt to "open" this file or just "save" it?

Hi,
I downloaded jscheduler.zip file into my computer, then tried to unzip it, I got this error: "The Compressed (zipped) folder is invalid or corrupted."
From the site you provided, I only have two options, either save or open.
Thanks,
Phee

This is not a zip file. IE renamed the file without warning you Please read my second post in this topic. Thanks.
