Job stops being run after an error |
|
Hi,
I have a pretty simple job that run once every 5 minutes. It uses a JAL script to read the contents on an FTP server, and if new files are found, download them. Every once in a while a hiccup occurs, for example, the script can't log into the FTP server. From that point on the job won't run again until the scheduler service is restarted. I have the "Disable this job on error..." check-box UNCHECKED (wizard step 9 of 11), thinking that it will pick up on the next 5 minute iteration, but it doesn't do that and it just hangs. What am I missing?
I am running the scheduler on a Win 2000 box running as a service. The 24x7 Scheduler version is 3.4.31.

1. Please make sure the job is set to run detached.
2. and that you are making any job changes using the GUI while the service is not running and restarting the service after you are done with your changes.
