Latest Toad versions 9.x are very different from previous versions and built on a different technology. The default target registration that comes with SQL Assistant setup is for previous versions. You will need to setup a new target to handle Toad 9.x

Open Toad editor, while in the editor press Ctrl+Shift+F5. Chose target type and related options. The rest should be more or less obvious. When completed, open SQL Assistant's option and customize other settings as needed, hot keys , target name and default connection, etc.... A couple of default hot keys conflict with Toad's hot keys, so if you are going to use them, you will need change in SQL Assistant's options before using. I also suggest to disable Toad's SQL Intellisense options, the instructions are available in SQL Assistant's manual.
