Changed computers and having trouble with email |
|
I've just moved 24X7 from my laptop to a desktop and when I run a job to send email through Lotus Notes I get a message saying "The mail server doesn't like the sender name, have you set your mail address correctly?"
Since nothing changed but the computer I'm using, I assume I missed a step during the set-up of 24X7. My Lotus Notes email username wouldn't have changed.
Any suggestions?

Please check that Lotus Notes is chosen as an email sending method in the scheduler options (Tools / Options menu; General tab)

Our system requires us to use SMTP. I've copied the 24X7 job to the new computer and copied exactly what's on the Options screen and still get the same message.

Is the new computer part of the same domain?
Are there any restrictions on the email server side from where SMTP emails can be sent (SMTP gateway access, email forwarding, etc...)?
