Adding License to eval copy without GUI |
|
I have the agent running on a few linux boxes without GUI. We purchased 4 licenses and now i need to change from eval copy to licensed copy and the servers do not have a gui interface. I cannot find instructions in the users guide on how to update the license.
Thanks-Will

You got 2 options.
1. Reinstall each agent in no GUI mode and specify the license key on the command line for the installer. This is usable for new installations. ./setup.sh nogui [target dir] [user] [org] [license]
2. Run the install on a machine with the GUI, perhaps your Window s workstation. Start 24x7, and when prompted enter the license key. Copy license file to the agent machine to the 24x7 home directory and restart the agent. Delete license file on the workstation, restart 24x7 and when prompted enter another license key. Repeat this step for other copies using different license keys. While this may sound complicated, it should not take more than a couple of minutes to create 4 license files.
