SSMS SQL Assistance in job creation |
|
There is no SQL Assistance in the job creation in SQL Management Studio. Is there a way for us to enable that?

1. Open SQL Assistant options
2. On the Targets page select MS Management Studio target and expand Advanced options on the right side of the screen.
3. Edit Target Window Class option and enter VsTextEditPane,WindowsForms10.EDIT.app.0.378734a
4. Click Apply button
5. Open Management Studio if it is not already open.
6. Open any job and edit job step setting focus to the Command edit box.
7. Press Ctrl+Shift+F5 to invoke new target registration dialog, fill in the required parameters. For target Caption enter some descriptive name, for example, SSMS Edit Job dialog
8. Click OK, wait 3 seconds and check if that works for you.
Note: The window class name may differ in different SSMS and Net versions. I pasted the one I got on my system
