Java 1.4.2 using old daylight savings rules? |
				     |

				Hi there,

New Zealand has recently extended its hours of Daylight Savings. During the extra week last week, Windows XP was returning the correct time, but 24x7 multiplatform edition was an hour slow.

I tried rebooting the w/s but no change. Now we're into the 'old' period of daylight savings 24x7 is correctly reporting the same time as Windows.

We're running 24x7 under Java 1.4.2 as recommended by SoftTree.

I'm guessing the old version of Java hasn't been updated with the new DST rules. Can someone help me confirm/update its rules please?

Thanks

				Got it, thanks.

For anyone else, this is the steps:

I used the Sun Timezone Updater program at http://java.sun.com/javase/tzupdater_README.html (you have to register to download which is a pain)

I changed into C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_03\bin and ran

java -jar "path_to_tzupdater\tzupdater.jar" -u
