This error indicates that the database connection died - may be the server was restarted or the connection got killed, or just a network interruption. Could be also an issue with the connectivity layer. What method do you use to connect to your database? Which type of the database?

Hmm, could be just a faulty ODBC driver. Try using MS SQL native driver. When starting DB Audit, in the database connection profile settings, select MSS Microsoft SQL Server driver and check if you get the same error or different.
