Issue with jobs not running in v255 |
|
Hi there,
I upgraded to version 255 last week.
I noticed this morning that my jobs were not kicking off.
So when I tried to execute them through the gui I found that they would not run.
I finally tracked this down the directory under the Queue directory not having the proper permissions so the scheduler could not write there. I am not sure how this changed, but I thought I would put this out here as an fyi in case anybody else has trouble with this.
If you have any ideas what may have happened, let me know.
I appreciate it.

Thanks for the feedback.
The installer doesn't change/set any directly permissions, only permissions to execute .PL and .SH files. What you described could happen if the old and new version were installed on top of each other using different system user accounts.

It's very possible that I installed the product as root and then changed the permissions afterwards. I just thought I would let everyone know in case they run into the same situation.
