Java exception |
|
Hello:
We are getting this exception (found on the Tomcat log) after logging in the Web server console (running on Tomcat). After the user logs in, the application hangs and does not display next page:
2007-07-05 19:25:57 StandardWrapperValve[jsp]: Servlet.service() for servlet jsp threw exception
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/jwi24x7/resources/TemplateResources
Thanks in advance for the help.

Does the file actually exist in [tomcat dir]\webapps\[24x7 dir]\WEB-INF\classes\com\jwi24x7\resources\TemplateResources.class?
Have you tried to restart Tomcat?

Yes, the file actually exists and we have restarted Tomcat but the problem still persists.

I am not sure what could be causing that. Does it happen for all users? Is this the only exception you get in the log? Are there other exceptions before this message?

This problem happens for all users. That is the only exception we got on the Tomcat log.

Any upgrades installed on the server recently?

We installed a Windows update on the server that hosts the 24x7 application recently, NOT on the web server running Tomcat

It is very unlikely Windows update has anything to do with the issue. Do you know if any other changes have been made in the scheduler configuration? Can you restore the previous configuration?
