With the new 2007 daylight savings changes, will they affect the 24x7 automation suite and scheduler? I know applications running older versions of jvm (1.4.2_10 or older) as affected. Thanks.

There is effect on the scheduler, but you may have some issues with jobs scheduled to run in the affected hour. As a result of the time change, some jobs can run more then once. You should plan in advance how to deal with that business situation.

The time jumps ahead on 3-11. The question I have is will the jobs run between the time shift? We can handle the overlap shift back on 11-4. The gap is what concerns me most.

That would be a nice feature to add in to this tool. A built in way to deal with time shifts.

Thank you for your attention in this matter.

I agree, but I think automatic time shifts are no different manual time changes, so there is no easy good-for-everybody way to handle this situation

Anyway, jobs that fall into that gap will be missed. But you can run then manually or schedule them to run an hour earlier or later.

The Forecast Report can give you a good idea which jobs fall into this category

So does this mean there is a problem with 24x7 3.4.20?

I do not have any jobs running between 2 - 3 AM on 3/11.

No, there is no problem. If you don't have anything scheduled to run between 2 and 3 AM on 3/11 then there will be no impact on your system.
