MailSendWithAttachment--attachment is inline

When I use MailSendWithAttachment to send an attached file,

the file comes through in the body of the email:

I've tried all the different MIME:none, etc. options.

When I send a much larger file, it comes as a real attachment.

Any ideas?

I have no idea, why this particular file is different from other. Are other files also Excel attachments. Do you have this file open in some program, perhaps on a different computer?

Have you tried, plain/text with MIME;none as an email format?

Upon further research, the problem gets more interesting.

All of the sudden, all files sent as attachements

from this one 24x7 scheduler are coming out this way.

The same job run on a different workstation produces

a good attachment.

I have tried all the options for email format, but they

all produce the same result. In fact, the example I sent was

produced with the settings in 24x7 set to

Message Encoding MIME:None and Message Content Type:text/plain

The problem now happens on all attachments--.xls, .txt, large, small, etc., etc.

Please compare versions and dates of 24x7ws.dll file on both computers. If they are the same then something else is affecting this processing (firewall, anti-virus, other type of network traffic encryption service, or even a virus could potentially cause that)

Both have 24x7ws.dll dated 5/17/2002, version 3,0,0,1.

The machine with the problem has 24x7.exe version

3.4.26.

The machine that works has 24x7.exe version

3.3.24.

We are looking into this.

Thanks. By the way, the version that is

working is 3.4.24, not 3.3.24 like I mistyped in the previous post.

There are appears no differences in SMTP protocol support or implementation of email functions between 3.4.24 and 3.4.26 versions. It is possible that something else is making an impact on the processing. Please run the following test: copy 24x7 files from the computer running 3.4.24 (the entire C:\Program Files\24x7 Automation 3 directory) to a new directory on the computer currently running 3.4.26. Stop 3.4.26 and start 24x7.exe from the new directory. Check if you can send email with attachments and get it normally. Please let us know what you get there
