Post running ASP scripts... preferably without browser Reply with quote

Greetings All Ye Cyberloonies and Techno Weenies
I'm investigating this application for practical usage
and had a question that I hope someone can enlighten
me on.
We run a bunch of ASP scripts each night. They take
from 5 seconds to 35 minutes to run. Normally we start
them in Internet Explorer (IE) windows. The windows are
closed automatically after a set time interval or else
the system fails near the end of a weekend after about 75
IE windows have been opened.
Supposedly the 24X7 job schedular will run ASP scripts without
even using a browser. Can you suggest a method or even a topic
help title for me to look into for this. Do you think it works
well? If I do open IE windows, can I close them after a set
time period?
Inquiring minds want to know.
Thanks for the assist, Mike

Create a JAL script job and into the job script paste example from WebGetFile topic. To see the example script, while in that help topic click Examples button on the help system toolbar. Customize script as required. Set the job to run detached so that other similar jobs can perform HTTP operations concurrently.

If anything, please let us know
