Post Java version on Linux - nogui Reply with quote

I have (I think) jdk 1.5 setup properly, and the JAVA_HOME set to the proper location on fedora core 5

however, when I attempt to run :: ./setup.sh nogui /usr/local/24x7

i get the following error :

INFO: Running console mode installer.
IMPORTANT: For license terms and conditions read LICENSE.TXT file.
INFO: Installing to: "/usr/local/24x7"
[ Starting automated installation ]
ERROR: Cannot load installer!

Is there anything I can do to troubleshoot this install on why this fails? Identical install of jdk 1.5 on a windows system, and a setup using setup.bat works just fine...

Thoughts ?

Since you have it installed on Windows you can just copy over all files to the Linux machine and then do
chmod 755 *.sh
chmod 755 *.pl

FYI. Same files are installed on all systems, only different graphical menu shortcuts are created by the installed. That's all.

That seemed to do the trick ... where can i find the web management interface? This does not seem to be included in any verion we have installed... and our licensing apparently should include it.

The software is either shipped on the CD or provided via downlaod link. The download link should be on your license page.

I have checked with our IT manager, and we originally had a single server license .. which we then upgraded to a site license .. we have no install cd, and the download link provided was for the setup.exe of the scheduler only.

In all reinstalls I have done for 24x7, I have used the trial version install and just supplied it with our current site license key.

is there a way I can provide our key to you, and you can give us the link ? email contact ?
