Post how to disable outlook 2000 SP3 security Reply with quote

Since Migrating to Outlook 2000 SP-3,I now receive a pop up window when I try and send an automated E-mail.
The pop up window asks a Y/N question asking if it is ok to send this e-mail.

I have searched through the Microsoft web site and can't find any instructions for disabled the outlook 2000 SP3 security, can any tell me exactly how to do it?

Your options are described here
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/262631/EN-US/
and there
http://www.outlookcode.com/d/sec.htm

While you can find a workaround for specific Outlook version you need to deal differently with different versions that is a real pain in an ass. The best approach is not to use MAPI email interface in 24x7 and switch to SMTP interface. This is as simple as configuring 3 fields in system options (Tools/Options menu). SMTP interface doesn't need Outlook, it can talk directly to the email server.

Thanks for your advise, but what if I use email to
trigger a job. SMPT interface doesn't support this
function. Right ?

You can use 24x7 Event Server for that. It can monitor incomining email and then trigger a job in 24x7 Scheduler. 24x7 Event Server doesn't need Outlook or MAPI. It uses POP3 protocol to talk directly to the email server.
Download link for trial version is available here http://www.softtreetech.com/i24x7es.htm
