Post Launching MSACCESS instances Reply with quote

Hello,

When launching two MS ACCESS instances, each of them
doing some "havy" ORACLE updating jobs, I observed
that the second instance "waits" for the first one
to be finished. Is there a way to avoid this ? Can't both
instances work together at the same time ?

May the "deatched" checkbox option help ?

Thanks (again) for helping

I am afraid you cannot control that. Access uses some lock files .lck and other shared files which it needs for the processing and that is the reason why multiple Access instances wait for each other to complete certain processing steps. Consider running this processing on multiple computers. If you use 24x7 remote agents you can have multiple instances of Access running concurently on different computers as well as you can link them together into a single job stream.
