Post Web console security Reply with quote

This is a problem i am running into.

After successfully installing the web console, I am experiencing permissions issues with the console.
On the 24x7 scheduler security I have administrators, standard users and restricted users. If i create a user as an administrator, the user has full access on the web console.
The user can view all jobs, create jobs, execute jobs etc. If i create another user as standard or restricted, the users basically don't have any access on the web console.
I could create this user and check off all check boxes under the standard user and the user still would not be able to see any jobs or to actually do anything inside the web console.
Basically for some reason my scheduler security is not working with the web console. I have 2 sets of users. Admins/programmers and users who just need to see the jobs and monitor the job process.
I want my users to see all jobs, job logs and also to run a job, but i am unable to get this to work. Any ideas?

Non-admin users can see their own jobs only that's the reason. Try it for yourseve. Connect as a non-admin user, create a job and then logoff/logon again. You should be able to see that job.

I know about that. There has to be a way for scheduler security to allow users to see the jobs. I have hundreds of jobs. I cannot recreate each job as a different user. I need to have several users login to see all jobs and to run them.

1. Turn off the security or make them admins in the scheduler settings. This way they will be able to see all jobs.
2. Set protection for all jobs to "Execute only"

If you need to change hundreds of jobs write a VB script of JavaScript code using 24x7 API to programmatically change all jobs and change the protection level of each job. See the console code for ideas how to get the job list and how to chnage the protection level. It is all there in the ASP code.
