Error 1326 = password too long?

I am getting Error 1326 - bad username/password with a job configured to
run as another user. I finally noticed that the password field displays
a maximum of 10 asteriks as I type in a password, but the account I'm
using has a 13-character password.

I confirmed that the domain/account/password are correct by using the
Win2k runas command to run the program from a command prompt while
logged in as the account that 24x7 runs under.

Is there a 10-character limit on "runas" passwords? Or could I be missing
a user privilege grant somewhere? The 24x7 account has "act as part of
os", "run as service", "run as batch job", and both the 24x7 and the
runas account are members of the local Admin group.

Hm... Is that in Windows or Java version?

The internal field size is 50 so 13 should not be a problem there.

To verify wether it is a wizard issue, please create a temp job of JAL script type and in the script enter

JobModify([id of the other job here], "RUNAS_PASSWORD", "[password here]")

Run this temp job which will update the password of the other job then delete the temp job. Run the updated job. Let us know if this helps.
