Can you give me some ideas as to how we would provide a
a hot standby 24x7 configuration. Our requirement is
that if our primary Master fails, or the server on
which it running fails, we can continue to monitor and
manage the workload using another Master running on
another server. Also, if the primary Master fails do
any jobs assigned to Agents continue to run?

Not necessarily interested in instantaneous failover.
If we were able to restore and restart on a standby system
within say 1 hour that would be sufficient.

If you are running 24x7 Scheduler for Windows you can enable the fail-over mode. The Scheduler will automatically replicate all jobs, agent profiles and all other settings. Please see http://www.softtreetech.com/24x7/archive/37.htm for an example on how to "Configuring Master and Standby schedulers for file-over mode". Read fail-over topics in the online help for more details.

If you are running 24x7 Scheduler Java Edition you can use the method described here http://www.softtreetech.com/24x7/archive/ha.htm
