I am running JScheduler on Unix, there are no scripting options. I am trying to rename
a semaphore file after the job begins by giving the rename extension
_@T"yyyymmdd-hhmmss".

24x7 Java edition does not currently support time masks like hhmmss. If you need to use a time suffix use "Run program" with "On job start" notification action and make it run a shell script, which will rename the semaphore file.
