MAPI is already installed on your computer. MAPI is part of Windows and it is used by most windows email clients as a standard messaging interface. What you needed to install and you have probably done this already is Notes MAPI service provider support option. The Notes MAPI service provider (or Lotus Notes support) is a .dll file provided with Lotus Notes. It allows programs that require a MAPI interface, to access Lotus Notes e-mail. I think when you installed "support for MS Outlook" it installed MAPI support. The next thing you need to do is to configure MAPI profile for your Notes user account. Use the Mail applet in the Windows Control Panel to setup a new profile. You can then use the profile name in 24x7 to refer to your Notes email account. : Thanks for your response! : Well, first i tryed without MAPI. I didn't know i should use MAPI(!) : I only read the recommendation for MAPI in the help file. : Later, without success, i considered about MAPI. Because i don't know : much about MAPI, probably i made failures. However, i didn't succeed : with MAPI too. : My problem: How do i get the appropriate "Notes MAPI Client"? : I tryed to install a Lotus Notes Client (6.5.3) with support for MS Outlook : or : Outlook Express etc. on the machine running 24x7, assuming that will install : MAPI, but i failed too. : I tryed to install MS Office 2003 (but only Outlook), knowing that will : install "something : about MAPI", again without success... :-/ : Do you have any understandable instructions? : Thanks a lot for your answer and support! : Kind regards, : Roman
