I have a site license key. When I try to test a connection
between the master server and the agent I get an error telling me that
they have the same key. They do .. It's a site license key.

Is this a bug with the java version? Key works fine with non-java
version of 24x7 scheduler

I'm not sure Java scheduler fully supports site license key for Windows 24x7 Scheduler. I've got to check that. If it doesn't we can always provide you with additional keys. I will get back to you tomorrow regarding this issue.

Here is what I found out. At this time Java Edition doesn't support using the same key for different components even if it is a site key. This is by design. I submitted a request to modify this default behavior and make it the same as in the Windows version. The change will be expedited and added in the next build, scheduled for next week. That build will also allow running Java Edition in a GUI-less mode (in other words running it on systems without X-Windows, Motif, etc...) and also prepare it for the mainframe support (z/OS, OS/390).

In a mean time you can request additional keys from sales.
