SyncLocalDir internally uses same functions that Windows uses to copy files. As a result the treatment of files is the same as, for example, in Windows Explorer. The permission settings are controlled on the Windows level. There is a very good article at http://www.le.ac.uk/cc/dsss/docs/acls1.shtml describing how file security settings are applied. : Hi, : What happens to share/folder permissions on the output files/folders : when SyncLocalDir is used to copy folder structures on the local server : when the source and destination folders are a) local e.g. c:\data1 and : b) networked e.g. \\server\data1 where server1 is the local server ? : Thanks, : Jim
