I am using version 3.4.16 of 24x7 Automation Suite.
I setup the security in 24x7 but I am not prompted
after restarting the scheduler. What else do I need
to do?

This is not security for the user starting the scheduler on the local computer. For this purpose you already have Windows security. This is security for users access 24x7 from other computers using 24x7 Remote Control, 24x7 web-based interfaces, custom interfaces bult with 24x7 APIs, remote jobs, and other remote things.
